O nervosismo em torno do jogo não demorou a ter uma proporção maior. Irritado após o árbitro optar porque Warley recebeu cartão amarelo ao deixar o braço no rosto de Jean Carlo, o técnico Hélio dos Anjos não poupou reclamações. Sem esconder sua bronca, o comandante do Náutico foi expulso de campo.

TÊM COISAS QUE…

Impetuoso, o Botafogo apostava em lançamentos para Rafael Navarro e chegou a ter um bom momento ao Guilherme servir e Marco Antônio exigir Alex Alves. Porém, em sua primeira grande investida, o Náutico saiu na frente.

Após escanteio marcado equivocadamente pela arbitragem Jean Carlos cobrou para a área e Vinícius cabeceou na primeira trave. A bola desviou em um jogador do Botafogo e também em Pedro Castro, que marcou contra.

LUTANDO NA FRENTE…

O Botafogo não se poupou a se lançar ao ataque. Chay cobrou falta venenosa e Alex Alves esticou-se para evitar o empate. Em seguida, Rafael Navarro tentou de carrinho, mas foi parado pelo goleiro.

… SÓ QUE ERRANDO NA DEFESA

Só que a equipe de Marcelo Chamusca seguia com a marcação muito frouxa. Assim que perdia a bola, o Náutico avançava com liberdade pelos lados e buscava investidas com Vinícius e Jean Carlos. No entanto, a pontaria do Timbu não estava tão inspirada em tentativas de Camutanga e Trindade. Na investida mais clara da equipe, Vinícius cruzou rasteiro, só que Kieza chegou atrasado.

RITMO ACELERADO, MAS… CADÊ O GOL?

O técnico Marcelo Chamusca promoveu no intervalo as entradas de Daniel Borges e Diego Gonçalves nos lugares de Warley e Chay, respectivamente. O ímpeto alvinegro aumentou em tentativa de Pedro Castro e finalizações de fora de área. No entanto, faltava acertar o pé. Após cobrança de escanteio, Pedro Castro chutou e a bola bateu em Alex Alves. Na sobra, ele desviou do goleiro batido, mas acabou acertando o próprio goleiro.

KIEZA NA MARCA DO PÊNALTI

O Náutico ensaiou uma reação em jogadas pela pontas. Vinícius passou como quis pela esquerda e alçou. Kieza completou por cima. Em seguida, veio uma chance preciosa de ampliar.

Erick tentou drible na área e sofreu falta de PV, em pênalti corretamente marcado. Kieza partiu para a cobrança, mas seu chute saiu rasteiro a parou tranquilo nas mãos de Douglas Borges.

EM NOVA VOLTAGEM

As entradas de Felipe Ferreira e Rafael Moura revigoraram o Botafogo. Pressionando mais a saída de bola do Timbu, a equipe logo chegou a um empate. Camutanga hesitou e o He-Man roubou a bola. Diego Gonçalves recebeu passe e serviu Felipe Ferreira, que não titubeou diante de Alex Alves.

A igualdade fez o Alvinegro partir para cima de vez. Rafael Moura e Felipe Ferreira tiveram oportunidades, mas não conseguiram marcar.

ويشارك الأهلي -حامل لقب النسخة الماضية من كأس السوبر- في البطولة باعتباره بطلًا للدوري أما بيراميدز باعتباره بطلًا لكأس مصر، وسيراميكا كبطل لكأس رابطة الأندية والزمالك بالبطاقة الذهبية.

ومن المقرر أن تقام البطولة بنظام نصف النهائي والنهائي مباشرة، إذ يصطدم الأهلي بفريق سيراميكا والزمالك بنظيره بيراميدز، من أجل حسم صعود فريقين للنهائي.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن بطولة كأس السوبر تقام تجهيزًا للمسابقات المحلية بالموسم الجديد، إذ من المنتظر أن ينطلق الموسم الجديد لبطولة الدوري 2024-2025 آخر أكتوبر الحالي.

Arnaut Danjuma's stats at Everton

After multiple failed attempts at convincing the winger to join the Toffees, Everton finally signed Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal last summer, on a deal until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

At the time, it looked as though Dyche and his side conducted smart business in bringing the Dutchman to Goodison, however, the move has been a disaster for all parties involved.

The 27-year-old has only made 14 appearances for the Toffees since the start of the season, starting just 14% of the club's Premier League outings in a campaign where the side claimed survival with three games to spare despite receiving a total of eight points deducted after multiple PSR breaches.

Danjuma has only found the back of the net on one occasion for the Toffees in the Premier League, scoring in the 2-2 draw away at Sheffield United at the start of the season.

His lack of minutes on the pitch has been further highlighted in recent weeks, with his start against Fulham back in January his latest appearance for the club, in what has been a disappointing campaign for the forward.

It's clear that Danjuma has fallen out of favour under Dyche, with the attacker failing to appear at all, despite the club's recent injury troubles at the top end of the pitch, with youngster Youssef Chermiti preferred to the Dutchman after injuries to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto.

Both parties will be desperate for the spell to come to an end, with the Toffees also needing to clear his hefty earnings off the wage bill ahead of the summer.

Arnaut Danjuma's wage at Everton

Although he's only on loan at Everton for the current campaign, Danjuma is still earning £52.5k-per-week, as per Capology – a huge amount given his lack of impact at Goodison, having now become something of a forgotten figure.

The "rubbish" loanee, as dubbed by Daily Mail journalist Ian Ladyman, will have pocketed a total of £2.7m in wages alone this season, a figure that would've seen him earn £450k per start.

His income at Everton is currently more than double than that of fellow attacker Dwight McNeil, who earns a reported £25k-per-week, despite keeping the 27-year-old out of the team for the vast majority of the 2023/24 season.

It's a shame that the move for the attacker hasn't worked out this season, but the Toffees will be relieved that he's only at the club on a temporary basis, with Dyche able to reinvest the money elsewhere during the upcoming transfer window.

The summer could be a busy one for Everton, with sales needed to avoid further punishment, but also giving them the opportunity to showcase their excellent recruitment demonstrated in previous windows.

They had struggled to score in the first ten overs, inching to 53 for 1 at the halfway stage, but after spending 16 overs grinding between first and second gear, Phillips suddenly slipped into sixth and floored the gas on his way to his highest CPL score since the equivalent fixture last season.Patriots’ run chase never get going after Fidel Edwards cleaned up Chris Lynn in his first over, with Edwards, Veerasammy Permaul and Sandeep Lamichhane finishing with two wickets and Carlos Brathwaite grabbing three.Fabulous PhillipsPhillips struggled badly early in the Tallawahs’ innings, making 14 off the first 23 balls he faced before eventually hitting his first boundary at the end of the 11th over. BOTAFOGO TEM CHAMA INICIAL, MAS…

As investidas de Chay levaram o Alvinegro a um início promissor. Logo aos sete, o camisa 14 se desvencilhou da marcação adversária e lançou Rafael Navarro. O atacante abriu espaço, encheu o pé, mas o grito de gol foi abafado por Wilson. Em seguida, Chay cobrou falta de forma traiçoeira, e o goleiro do Coritiba saltou para, de mão trocada, espalmar. Contudo, a sucessão de erros aos poucos abrandou o fôlego da equipe, que passou a depositar as fichas em contra-ataques.

LAMBANÇA NO APITO!

Pouco a pouco, o Coritiba se lançou à frente, tendo como válvula de escape Igor. O lateral encheu o pé e a Douglas Borges saltou para evitar. Aguerrida diante de um Botafogo que via sua marcação frouxa, a equipe de Gustavo Morínigo esbarrou em um situação controversa no Nilton Santos.

Igor cobrou falta no fundo da rede, enquanto Douglas Borges apenas observou. Porém, a jogada foi anulada porDewson Fernando Freitas da Silva de maneira insólita: o árbitro, após autorizar a cobrança, havia se dirigido para arrumar a barreira alvinegra.

Despite this, the Daily Mail confirmed that Crystal Palace man Dougie Freedman is on the Magpies' final shortlist to replace Ashworth – with United also interested in tempting the 49-year-old to Old Trafford.

The former Palace striker was present at Selhurst Park in midweek, as Newcastle fell to a 2-0 defeat against the Eagles, with members of the Magpies hierarchy, including co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi also in attendance.

Freedman has gained a fantastic reputation for his domestic dealings in the transfer market, recommending the likes of Marc Guehi, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, with the trio set to make the club a lot of money after their successive stints at the club – the latter duo mooted to depart for £60m plus each.

There's no denying, that despite the investment from the Saudi PIF, the Magpies squad needs an overhaul, with the Palace chief fitting the bill, especially given his recent successes in the market.

That being said, here are three players who Freedman could send packing immediately, should he take over the Sporting Director role at St James' Park…

1 Callum Wilson

Striker Callum Wilson has often had to settle as Newcastle's second-choice option behind Alexander Isak, understandable given the Swede's record of 21 goals in all competitions so far this campaign.

The former Bournemouth forward has only featured 23 times this season and just three times in 2024, managing to score on eight occasions.

He made his return from injury off the bench in midweek, but he was unable to make any impact and turn the game into the Magpies' favour after Jean-Philippe Mateta's double.

Wilson has undoubtedly been a fantastic servant to the club since his £20m from Bournemouth back in 2020, scoring 46 times in 105 appearances for the club, but he's been unable to showcase his talents this season after his constant injury issues.

He's been sidelined by two different hamstring issues, whilst a calf injury saw him miss a further two months, before suffering a chest injury upon his return in the 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in February.

The striker, who earns a reported £46k-per-week, as per Capology, is now 32 years old and his constant setbacks this season have prevented the forward from putting consistent runs together in the first-team – with his longest run of games without injury being just a lowly six.

He only has one year left on his current deal at the club, with Wilson turning 33 before the end of next season. That being said, Freedman should look to move him on this summer to avoid losing him for nothing, with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal previously linked with a move for the forward.

2 Miguel Almiron

After his sensational goalscoring run during last season, which saw the attacker score eight goals in just nine Premier League games, Miguel Almiron has failed to replicate any of his good form under Howe this campaign.

He's featured 29 times in the Premier League this campaign, scoring on just three occasions – and like Wilson, has struggled for fitness during key parts of the season.

The Paraguayan suffered a knee injury in the sensational comeback win against West Ham United and has failed to feature since, with the attacker missing the last four league outings.

With the club undoubtedly looking to strengthen this summer, Almiron may find himself a victim of the club's huge investment, losing his first-team spot, but potentially being sold altogether.

Almiron, who earns £60k-per-week at St James' Park as per Spotrac, was linked with a £30m move to join Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia back in January. Talk surrounding the 30-year-old's potential move to the Middle East came around after Newcastle's current chief executive Darren Eales suggested that the club must sell players before making any major signings due to the constraints of FFP.

The forward – who has also been mooted for an exit this summer – remains under contract at St James' Park until 2026, but Freedman may choose to sell him during the summer after his disappointing campaign, allowing the potential new Sporting Director to work his magic in the window.

3 Yankuba Minteh

Despite only arriving at Newcastle last summer, winger Yankuba Minteh could be set for a move away from Tyneside despite not making a single appearance for the club, as per The Telegraph.

The 19-year-old Gambian has scored nine times and produced five assists in his 25 appearances on loan at Feyenoord in the Eredivisie, as he looks to gain valuable first-team experience.

The youngster has scored more goals than Almiron this season, but he could also suffer the same fate as the Paraguayan this summer, with the forward potentially allowing the club to make a quick profit and invest in other areas of the squad.

Minteh, who only earns a reported £4.2k-per-week, as per Capology, has been previously linked with Italian side Napoli ahead of the summer window, but any deal could depend on Freedman's arrival on Tyneside this summer.

He certainly possesses a lot of quality as demonstrated during his stint away from Newcastle this season, but given Freedman's success in identifying brilliant young talents, the Gambian may have to make way to allow the 49-year-old to work his magic at St James' Park.

With £110k-per-week worth of talent there for the Magpies to move on, such funds could be valuable as the club seek to strengthen moving forward.

Malan hits 219 before Derbyshire captain’s crucial fifty puts draw in sight

Home debutant Dawid Malan completed a superb maiden career double hundred before watching Derbyshire battle to within touching distance of the follow-on target of 201 at Emerald Headingley.Malan’s 219 off 244 balls underpinned the White Rose’s first-innings 400 for 6 declared, achieved shortly before lunch on day three of this weather-affected North Group fixture.Derbyshire captain Billy Godleman’s 54 then led his side’s bid to avoid having to follow-on, something which would go a long way to securing an important draw against their fellow challengers.The visitors closed on 198 for 6 from 70 overs, with bad light ending play three overs early. Almost 100 overs have now been lost across three days.The gap between these two leading sides in the North was four points before this third-round clash, with Derby leading the way.England T20 batsman Malan, who could be playing his last county game until mid September should he be involved in forthcoming series against Pakistan and Australia, advanced from 153 not out overnight.He became the first Yorkshire player whose maiden century for the club ended up a double since Jonny Bairstow hit 205 against Nottinghamshire in 2011.The 32-year-old was the primary reason why Yorkshire secured the maximum five batting bonus points for reaching 400. وفي نفس السياق، قال زيزو في تصريحات عبر قناة “إم بي سي مصر”: “كان كل همنا أن جمهور الزمالك يفرح، فوز كبير أمام فريق كبير في إفريقيا، أهم شيء أننا نفوز بالبطولة (مش مهم مين يسجل أو مين يسدد الركلة الأخيرة)”.

واختتم: “أي قرار أخذته ببقائي في الزمالك سيكون الأعظم في حياتي، لأنه عندما كنت أقول أن الزمالك نادي بطولات ويعتاد على البطولات القارية والمحلية الناس لم تصدق، لكن الحمد لله على البطولة في بداية الموسم وستعطينا دفعة قوية”.
